Travis Nicolette is the owner of ProLift Garage Doors of Charleston and specializes in residential and commercial garage door repair and installation. ProLift serves the Charleston metro area and prioritizes client experience, quality workmanship, and unmatched value. A Mount Pleasant native, Travis graduated from Wando High School in 1999 and then received his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Clemson University in 2003. He worked for Verizon for 13 years in numerous sales and leadership roles and completed his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Western Carolina University in 2011.
In addition to his entrepreneurial spirit, Travis has a passion for helping others and joined the MPCC Philanthropy Committee in an effort to positively impact his community. With the help of the Mt. Pleasant Chamber of Commerce, the Philanthropy Committee was able to successfully complete numerous initiatives in 2021. These included: The Joe Brinson Scholarship donation, Journey Bag collection and donation for displaced children via Charleston County Social Services, CostCo Mt. Pleasant sponsored holiday meal and grocery delivery for 89 local families, and a donation of 2000 holiday greeting cards filled out by local school children to the Red Cross for military member disbursement.
Travis lives in Mt. Pleasant with his wife, Liz, who is a financial planner, and his two young children, Theo and Elia. Travis enjoys spending time with his family doing outdoor coastal activities, exercising, and Clemson Football. Prior to children, he enjoyed movies and traveling.

ProLift also donated $300 worth of items for “Journey Bags” that the Charleston County DSS gives to children that are in the extremely difficult transition into the foster care system. They also volunteered time to help with outdoor projects at Sundrops Montessori on Daniel Island and sponsor numerous little league teams with the Mount Pleasant Recreation Department.

Tristan Field Manager
Tristan is an IDEA certified Residential and Commercial garage door technician who serves as the Field Manager for ProLift Garage Doors. Originally from Ohio, he and his wife moved to the Charleston area 3 years ago. In his free time, Tristan enjoys volleyball, hiking, and spending time with his family. Tristan's "why" for coming to work each day is to deliver an unmatched client experience, and he does this by treating every client as though they are family.

Jared has worked in the garage door industry for 10 years. He has a true passion for his craft and is an IDEA certified garage door technician. Nick Warehouse Lead
Nick is a US Navy Reservist and a former active duty submariner turned garage door specialist. He is responsible for ensuring our team members and our clients get what they need, when they need it, and ensures the efficiency and organization of our North Charleston warehouse and showroom. He made sure every element of the installation process was complete. We had a height issue with the top of the door and our golf cart. He immediately made the adjustments necessary to get the cart in without any part touching the canopy. Would highly recommend Chuck if you are installing garage doors!

They were in fact recommended to me by the owner of another highly respected garage door company who was out of town and unable to come. His recommendation of a competitor spoke volumes to me. I reached out to ProLift via their website to schedule an appointment to replace a broken garage door spring, and they followed up immediately and offered me a variety of appointment times to suit my needs. I am extremely impressed by their follow-up, as they kept in touch every step along the way with appointment reminders, following up the day of the service to make certain that I was satisfied, and following up a few days later to see if there was anything else they could do for me. I received a text from ProLift prior to the appointment with a photo of the technician and a short bio on his experience. This was extremely impressive. Not only did I know what the person who showed up at my front door looked like before he arrived, it was nice to know of his background and professional experience. Matt was a great technician. He was prompt, and even called to let me know that he finished a previous job earlier than expected and could come to my house if that suited me, which it did. He was extremely knowledgeable, explained everything to me in terms that I could understand, and pointed out some issues with the original garage door hardware and the way it was installed incorrectly, which could cause the spring to snap in half and fly under pressure across my garage, potentially seriously injuring me or a family member or damaging one of our vehicles. I liked that Matt offered me three options of services from which I could choose. All were very fairly priced for the value received. While I chose the basic, least expensive option for now, there was absolutely no pressure whatsoever that I should choose a more expensive option. I appreciated that, and that is why I will reach out to ProLift again for future work. From the initial phone call, follow-up phone calls, text reminders, and Matt's professional and courteous demeanor — I truly cannot say enough good things about ProLift Garage Doors of Charleston, and it will be my pleasure to recommend them to anyone in need of garage door service and repairs. You have a customer for life in me, and I will indeed be contacting you in the future when I have the funds to upgrade my second garage door. He gave us a great price and explained everything very well. Chuck, our installer, showed up on time and worked solidly for five hours to install the new door. He touched up minute little scratches only he saw, opened and shut the new door numerous times, and made sure we were totally satisfied with our purchase and installation before he stopped working.
