When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in March 2020, Kyle’s video production business took a massive hit as many of his jobs canceled and went away. Always looking for the “silver lining,” this break in work helped Kyle focus on finishing Graduate School at Ball State University. He graduated in July 2020. With Kyle’s video business still not even close to “back to normal,” he hired a business coach in September 2020 to navigate this unprecedented period.
The business coach suggested looking into the home services industry (because stuff always breaks around the house and needs to be fixed) and franchises that are offered in that space. After spending 6 months doing research and as Kyle likes to say, “dating 5 different franchises,” Kyle and Amy settled on ProLift as part of Premium Service Brands.
“Being a member of the ProLift family has been interesting and challenging, having to learn a business that I was completely new to. However, getting to serve people in and around my community here in Indianapolis and Johnson County has been a huge blessing to me.” Kyle remarked. Excellent experience with ProLift from start to finish. Called ProLift as soon as I found our garage door spring had snapped after 12 years or so of service. I called in the evening, and Kyle (the owner) said he could have a technician out first thing the next morning. I opted for a late afternoon appointment due to some work commitments. Brandon the technician arrived early, my oldest son let him in, and the job was complete as I pulled in the driveway. No hassles, no “no-shows,” no inexperienced techs. Just good, quick service and at a very fair price. And speaking of price, Brandon replaced just the broken spring and lubed everything. He told me, “The bearings and cables are in good shape… no need to replace.” Always a good sign that you are not being taken for a ride. I highly recommend ProLift.

We contacted several garage door companies to fix a garage door with missing panels at one of our rentals. Every company gave us a bid to replace the entire garage door. This company saw the panels were just laying inside the vacant garage and were able to put the panels back in at 10% of the cost it would’ve been for a new garage door installed. We were quite thrilled that they went above and beyond and didn’t take the easy, more lucrative route. It was easy talking to Kyle, and we felt like he cared and was personable.
